Chess Club
International research has demonstrated a strong correlation between the teaching of chess and the development of critical thinking skills. Members have done well and in a 2002 tournament, won the “9 and Under” section of the junior Orange Bowl International Scholastic festival in Miami, Florida. In December 2008, Jamaica placed 3rd in the “9 and Under” section. Brian Walker of Hillel Prep was a member of that Team.
