International Math Day, 2010

March 3 was International Math Day, 2010. Over 300 Hillel High School students participated in this world record-breaking math competition. The Hillel Champion is Shane Phillips, Grade 7, with 14,978 points. Second place went to Soleil Cottrell of Grade 9, 10,897 points. Third place went to Giovanni Peralto of Grade 11, 10, 175 points. These three students, plus Jonathan Arava (4,508 points), won gold. Aaron Levi (3,335 points), Adisa Williams (1,560 points) and Stephanie Lee (671 points) won honourable mention. Congratulations to the students and math teachers for a great result!!
