Hillel academy has launched a plastic recycle programme
November 28, 2006

Hillel academy has launched a plastic recycle programme in conjunction with PET (Protect the Environment Trust).

Plastic recycle bins are placed around the campus for the students' and staff's convenience. Two are near the gate for easy drop off form the car.

We are encouraging everyone to recognise the importance of plastic recycling to Jamaica's environment. The landfills are full, and it takes 450 years for plastic to biodegrade.

Let's do our part and deposit #1 (clear plastic) and #2 (Opaque plastic) containers with the recycle symbol in the bins provided. Bring you recyclables from home for our programme, or send to 24 Haining Road.

Huge thanks to Mr. Richard Groves of Tru Juice for donating the bins. If anyone can donate more bins, please send them to Mr. Darcy Crooks at 24 Haining Road.

Looking forward to your cooperation.
