Brian Royes, one of our grade 7 students walked away with the top prize in the solo category (11 & under) at the JCDC National Children's Gospel Song Competition, which was held at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre on Sunday April 1, 2007. He was awarded a gold medal and the JCDC Trophy along with a gift basket for his outstanding performance.

Having done well in the elimination and semi-final rounds, Brian stepped up his performance a notch during the finals and claimed the coveted title. His presentation was flawless and perpetually accentuated by applause as the audience watched with amazement as this young master exhaled beautiful melodies effortlessly.

As a result of his exceptional performance and significant achievement, Brian has been invited to perform at Jamaica House during the launch of the Labour Day Activities to be held on April 26, 2007.
